Welcome guest readers Bill Carty and Paul Hlava Ceballos!

Bill Carty lives in Seattle and is the author of We Sailed on the Lake (Bunny Presse/Fonograf Editions, 2023) and Huge Cloudy (Octopus Books, 2019), which was longlisted for The Believer Book Award. He is Web Editor at Poetry Northwest and teaches at Edmonds College and the Hugo House.

Paul Hlava Ceballos is the author of banana [ ], which won the AWP Donald Hall Prize for Poetry, and the Poetry Society of America’s Norma Farber First Book Award. banana [ ] also was a finalist for the National Book Critics Circle Award, the Kate Tufts Discovery Award, and the Washington State Book Award.

His collaborative chapbook, Banana [ ] / we pilot the blood, shares pages with Quenton Baker and Christina Sharpe.

He currently is the poetry editor of the Seattle Met and practices echocardiography.
