The Bainbridge Island Poet Laureate Program Launches 2026-2027 Visiting Poets Series with Layli Long Soldier at the Bainbridge Island Book Book Festival!

The Bainbridge Island Poet Laureate Program hosts a reading by acclaimed poet Layli Long Soldier, a citizen of the Oglala Lakota Nation, followed by a conversation on Native American poetry with Rena Priest, the 2021-2023 Washington State Poet Laureate and Lhaq'temish (Lummi) Nation member, at the September 26th Bainbridge Island Book Festival.
